Q: The chart below shows information about changes in average house prices in five different cities between 1990 and 2002 compared with the average house prices in 1989.

The bar chart compares five major cities in terms of the changes in the cost of an average house pver a period of 13 years.

主体部分第一段（从London开始说起，然后说New York,两个城市第二个时间段的增长很大）

Between 1996 and 2002, London saw the bigest increase in housing prices of these cities(over 10%), despite a drop of around 7% in the previousperiod.

然后说New York

The figure for New York showed a similar pattern, declining by 5% during the first five year periodbut rising by 5% in the following 6 years.

Tokyo

Tokyo was the only city where the average house price dropped in both periods, around 7% in the five years and then another 5%.

Overall, the property prices in London and NewYork were volatile during the 13-year period, in contrast to the consistently rising prices in Madrid and Frankfurt. Tokyo’s houses were increasingly affordable.
