How to install Collector tool on systems not on 3.1.5
===========================================

1. From NMC:
option expert_mode=1

!bash (hit y if prompted after this command to confirm)

# wget http://www.nexenta.com/nexenta-collector_latest_solaris-i386.deb
# dpkg -i nexenta-collector_latest_solaris-i386.deb

2. To run collector, in bash, with updated collector.conf from www.nexenta.com:

# nexenta-collector -g

It should automatically upload to our FTP site.

3. Or for sites without access to the internet - generate it locally:

# nexenta-collector --no-upload

extract and upload to the FTP site the resultant file in /tmp:

e.g

/tmp/collector-TRIA-E7B0572793-XYZ8887-DKRILQ_315_2013-11-22.10-00-00GMT.8549.tar.gz
