同学BI硕士论文的调查

我同学现在硕士论文的大部份也经完成，需要做的就是需要收集些数据。

在这里，要提一下我同学的论文的目的是：this thesis emphasizes more on guiding the organizations, how to make correct decisions in this highly competitive environment, and how they should apply business intelligence to support their decision makings to increase the competition.The overall purpose of this thesis is to provide a solution that can assist organization make use of business intelligence to enhance the decision making.

他现在想用的论文证明方法是通过interview公司高层管理人员或有经验的人，尝试找出BI和information system如何支持公司做更理性，更明智的商务决策。同时也希望了解到，公司在做决策的时候，更需要些什么样的information去支持这个决策以及确保这个决策的决定是明智的 。
interview的问题是基于Percy H.Hill 提出的 decisions making process. 以下你会看到一个流程图，他主要想通过调查，找出IT如何更好的支持这个decisions making process。

 
同时附上他interview提的问题，有什么问题提得不明白，或是有什么意见，都很高兴随时听取你的建 议和意见。

问题如下

Define problem:

 

1.       Will you use the information system, internet or intranet or any tools to help you understand the underlying cause of problem? If yes, how these tools do support you?

 

2.       What kind of data do you think it is most valuable for you? And where you collect the data?

 

3.       Does the company have a pre-defined plan/process for decision making?

 

4.       If there is knowledge base system helps you quick find out solution of this problem or identify the underlying reasons. Do you think it convenience?

 

 

Identify alternative:

 

5.       Once the problem is declared, will you have a group discuss to list all the alternative ways to solve the problem?

 

6.       Are there any ways to extend the problem discuss in order to obtain more alternatives? `

 

Quantify alternatives:

 

7.       When the lists of alternatives are generated out, which method do you use to rule out the alternatives that are not pertinent to the problem solution?    

 

8.       Do you use any information system to help you for selection alternatives? If yes, how? 

 

9.       What kind of fact do you more consider before you select alternatives?

 

Apply decision aids: 

 

10.   Does the available amount of information affect the decision making?

 

11.   What kind of information is most valuable for supporting you making decision?

 

12.   Do you think the information system, such as business intelligence helps you make better decision?   

 

13.   What are the advantages of using business intelligence tools to decision making compared to do it “manually”? 

 

14.   What kind of security techniques are you using to protect the company classified information?
