如何写一封彬彬有礼的英文email给国外学者

鉴于好多伙伴向我询问如何写英文email，所以我的第一篇技术文章选择写擅长的，如何写一封有礼貌的寻求帮助的英文信函。先总结要点，后上例子：

给国外的学者写信，一定要记得：

1.礼貌，礼貌，礼貌...！再怎么客气都不为过。

2.简明扼要，直述问题和想要他们如何帮助你。

3.得到回应后要感谢帮助，适当的恭维。

例子1. 寻求学者帮助：

Dear Prof./Dr. XXX,

I am XXX, a Ph.D. student in XXX

I am not sure if it is the right time to contact you to inquire about the ....

I am wondering the review process of ... as graduation draws near and this manuscript is of great importance for my dissertation. I would be greatly appreciated if you could spend some of your time check the process for us. I am very pleased to hear from you on ...... Thank you very much for your consideration.

例子2. 寻求学者帮助：

Dear Prof./Dr. XXX,

Apologize to trouble you again. I am writing to you in the hope that you might kindly give me some advice or suggestion on .... I am thinking of ..... As I'm not sure if ...., your valuable advice and opinion is definitely of significant importance to this issue.  

Once again, I sincerely apologize to trouble you.

例子3. 寻求编辑/主编帮助：

Dear Prof./Dr. XXX，

Apologize for the inconvenience. I am writing to you in the hope that you may kindly give me some help on..... I am the author of ...., with coauthors are ...... 

This manuscript, ....... I would be grateful if you could let me know any further information about my manuscript at your earliest convenience.

例子4. 感谢编辑或者主编的帮助：

Appreciate for your kind help and reminding, I will revise it quickly and resubmit a new version before.... Thanks so much.

例子5. 致信道歉（催稿后的补救措施，博取同情）：

Dear Prof./Dr. XXX，

I am writing to appreciate for your generous help, and I feel really sorry for the inconvenience I bring to you yesterday. As a doctoral student about to graduate, I am preparing for the graduation and for seeking opportunities to study aboard. Therefore this ...... Because ...., I took the liberty to ..... Sincerely apologize to you again for my impertinent disturb, and hope you can forgive my reckless.

例子6. 恭维对方给于慷慨的帮助：

Many thanks for your precious suggestion. I would follow your advice and devote myself to writing this ....

Needless to say, your constructive guidance and suggestion is always of paramout importance to my research, just like the beacon in the sea.  Thus I hope to keep in touch with you and follow your direction on my voyage of research.
