as long as、as soon as、as far as 的用法！

1. as long as 只要…

• As long as A句， B句.

as long as 指的是如果 A 事件发生了，那么 B 事件就能够实现，是条件句的一种。
as long as 作为连接词来连接两个句子，可以放在句首或句中，代换成 so long as 也是一样的意思。
这个用法还满常出现在生活中的，像是师长或家长对孩子说的话，还有对情人甜言蜜语，或是表示对未来事件的预测。

• You can go out as long as you finish your homework.
  只要你写完功课就可以出门了。
• As long as you love me, I don’t care how much money you have.
  只要你爱我，我不会在乎你有多少钱。
• As long as I have you, nothing else matters.
  只要我拥有你，其他什么都不重要了。
• As long as the weather is good next weekend, we will go hiking.
  只要下个周末天气好，我们就会去健行。

2. as soon as 一… 就…

• As soon as A句， B句.

soon 的语意就是指时间上很快地，所以 as soon as 也跟时间有关系，表示 A 事件发生后，B 事件马上就跟着发生，可以用于过去或未来的事件。

as soon as 作为连接词来连接两个句子，放在句首或句中都可以喔。

• The baby stopped crying as soon as she saw her mother.
  那个小婴儿一看到妈妈就不哭了。
• Damn it! As soon as I walked out of my house, it started to rain.
  真！ 我才踏出家门就开始下雨了。
• As soon as Jennifer graduated from high school, her family moved to California.
  珍妮弗高中一毕业，他们全家就搬到加州了。
• The meeting will begin as soon as the boss shows up.
  老板一出现，这场会议就会开始了。

要表示「一… 就…」的意思，还可以使用另外两个常用句型，就让我来代换以上的例句给你看吧：

• the moment + S + V
• on / upon + Ving

The baby stopped crying as soon as she saw her mother.
= The baby stopped crying the moment she saw her mother.
= The baby stopped crying on/upon seeing her mother.

要特别留意的是，在用 on / upon + Ving 的句型时，前后主词必须相同，在以上的例句中，前后主词都是 the baby，所以可以使用这个用法，但其他例句由于前后主词不同，所以无法直接代换，以下再提供几个例句给你参考喔：

The moment Helen heard the bad news, she burst out crying.
On/Upon hearing the bad news, Helen burst out crying. 一听到那个坏消息，海伦不禁大哭了起来。

The moment I arrived in Paris, I fell in love with this city.
On/Upon arriving in Paris, I fell in love with this city. 在我一抵达巴黎时，我就爱上这个城市了。

3. as far as

本义

意为 “与……一样远” “远至……” “一直到……”

• Continue as far as the crossroads. 继续走，走到十字路口。
• We walked as far as the edge of the forest. 我们一直走到了树林的边上。
• I’ve read as far as the third chapter. 我已读到第3章了。

在否定句中也可用 so far as。如：

• We didn’t go as [so] far as the others. 我们走得不如其他人远。

as long as 可能是复合连词，引导条件状语从句，此时不再拆开分析。也可能是普通的比较结构，此时 as 为比较副词，在从句中作时间状语。你应该注意到我说的是as和than在比较结构中是代词或副词，因为它们可能要在从句中作状语的。

far 的意思为「远的」，可以用在距离或程度方面，而此用法的 as far as 后面会加上名词。

• I’ve read as far as the fifth chapter, but I still need to read three more chapters.
  我已经读到书的第五章节了，但我还需要再读三个章节。
• After you reach the summit, I suggest you go as far as the old castle. It’s worth visiting.
  你攻顶之后，我建议你再走远一点到古堡那，那里很值得一访。

(1) 表示“就……的限度”“到……的程度”。如：

It’s ready as far as I know. 就我所知已经准备好了。

A：Have you met my brother? 你见过我弟弟吗?

B：Not as far as I remember. 我不记得见过他。

(2) 表示“尽……所能”。如：

I will help you as far as I can. 我将竭尽全力来帮助你。

His parents supported him as far as they could. 他父母竭尽全力抚养他。

(3) 表示进展“达到某一点为止”。如：

We’ve got as far as collecting our data but we haven’t analysed it yet. 我们已收集了资料，但尚未分析。

as far as [something] is concerned 关于某事物

这个意思就和 about 和 with regard to 的意思差不多，也作 so far as [something] is concerned。

• As far as the budget is concerned, the company decided to sponsor our event.
  关于预算的部分，那家公司决定赞助我们的活动了。
• As far as speaking English is concerned, Rudy is doing pretty well. However, she should improve her writing.
  在英文口说方面，露比表现得很好，不过，她应该要改善写作能力。

as far as I am concerned 就我而言
这个用法可以用来表达个人意见，与 in my opinion 语意类似，也作 so far as I am concerned（I am 可以自行代换成其他人称）。

• As far as I’m concerned, we had better cancel the trip this weekend as the typhoon is coming.
  依我看来，我们最好取消这周末的旅行，因为台风要来了。
• As far as Columbia’s concerned, Columbus is her ideal lover.
  对哥伦比亚来说，哥伦布就是她的理想情人。

⚠️ 这个用法很常在议论文中使用，但小心不要和 I think 一起用喔，因为 as far as I am concerned 已经有「我觉得…」的概念在。

这里是指某人基于自己知道的事情表达想法，但不确定确切的事实为何，也作 so far as I know。

• As far as I know, Tracy won’t come to the office until next Monday. She seemed to have caught a cold.
  就我所知，崔西要到下礼拜一才会进办公室，她好像感冒了。
• The party will start one hour later, as far as we know. So, you don’t need to hurry.
  就我们所知，派对会延后一小时才开始，所以，你不需要那么匆忙。

as far as I can tell/see/remember 按照我所理解/看见/记得

此用法和以上的 as far as I know 类似，亦用于表达个人想法，也作 so far as I can tell/see/remember。

• As far as the doctor could tell, my grandma could live no longer than three to six months.
  就那位医师所判断，我奶奶再活不过三到六个月。
• As far as I can remember, Denis moved to Japan last year. So, this address is invalid.
  就我所记得的，丹尼斯去年搬到日本了。 所以，这个地址是无效的。

as far as it goes 在一定程度上还不错

指的是某事物已经很不错了，但隐含着还可以更好。

• The newbie’s project is pretty good, as far as it goes.
  以新人的程度来说，他做的企划很不错呢。
• It’s a good article as far as it goes, but there are still a few mistakes.
  这是一篇很不错的文章，不过里面仍有一些小错误。
