Well，I believe that you have heard a lot about a Chinese traditional food named jiaozi, whose English name are dumplings. People always eat dumplings in spring festival.

They are made of pieces of dough wrapped around a filling. There are many kings of materials used to make fillings. For instance, we always use pork, chicken and different kinds of vegetables. People prefer to make dumplings looks like Yuanbao, a Chinese traditional form of money. Therefore, dumplings is a symbol of wealth. The reason why people like to eat dumplings during the spring festival is that they believe that dumplings are able to bring wealth to them. When it comes to the spring festival, we have a very interesting tradition. On the Chinese new-year eve, when we are making dumplings, we would mix a coin or peanuts into the dumplings. And the person who get the dumpling with the coin or peanut, is believed to be lucky and health for the whole year.

I think dumplings is important for spring festival, so l learned about making dumplings from my father since I was a child. My favorite kind of dumplings is the dumpling with pork. Every spring festival, when I come back home from my university, I help my parents make dumplings.
