It's already the 6th of August, not far from going back to school. The last year in school is going to be the most important one. I currently don't have a plan for the whole year, but the first several months is already filled up with tasks.

I still have a lot to learn an am looking forward to next years AP exams. AP statistics is pretty important. Besides, I will try to accomplish as many AP subjects as possible next year. And I am curious about a new subject in our schedule next year, Environmental Chemistry. It's pretty much certain that Crystal will teach it. But I really know little about it. I am more interested in lessons that help students do something such as projects or researches. However, most courses I currently take require us only to focus on class works and materials. We memorize stuff but do not apply our knowledge. In a sense, I understand that our knowledge foundation does not provide us with sufficient stuff to build an atomic accelerator. But I still hope to see more application in the future lessons.

Just recently, I started to ask myself whether I should choose a computer major in the university. I found that there are other ways to achieve a goal such as making a product. If I go to Waterloo, it's pretty much it that I will choose software engineering. If I can go to universities such as Duke or Brown, though with little possibility that I will apply for or get in, I will probably go with a major somewhere in the middle of engineering and liberal arts. MBA, in my current view, is really useless. But who knows if I will change my mind several years later.
