Joomla install SQL file (DB function failed with error number 1064)

Starting to learn Joomla recently, and here is a self-tutorial.

 

I tried the "Hello world" component. at first, it runs ok, but after i tried to add on the database, it always shows error:

SQL error... DB function failed with error number 1064.

At first, I could not find out where is the error because I had compare with my install.sql with the example word by word. they are exactly the same.

 

Here is my own install.sql:

DROP TABLE IF EXITSTS '#__hello'; CREATE TABLE `#__hello` ( `id` INT(11) UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `greeting` VARCHAR(25) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=0 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; INSERT INTO `#__hello` (`greeting`) VALUES ('Hello, World!'), ('Bonjour, Monde!'), ('Ciao, Mondo!'); 

 

this is the example install.sql:

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `#__testcomponent_hello`; CREATE TABLE `#__testcomponent_hello` ( `id` INT(11) UNSIGNED NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, `greeting` VARCHAR(25) NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) ENGINE=MyISAM AUTO_INCREMENT=0 DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8; INSERT INTO `#__testcomponent_hello` (`greeting`) VALUES ('Hello, World!'), ('Bonjour, Monde!'), ('Ciao, Mondo!'); 

 

 

but finally I realized where is the error:

the first line after "DROP TABLE IF EXISTS", the single quotation mark.

it must be `#__hello`, cannot be '#__hello '.

 

it took me almost 2 hours to find it out this 'error', hope it will help.
