An exciting tennis match

Today is an exciting day that I’ll never forget. Not because of today’s English exam, but for the wonderful tennis match I played today. After I finish the CET4 English exam I felt good about myself. So I decided to play tennis. It was very lucky for me that Zhang Dake would play with me. He is the best tennis player in my university before he graduate. Knew that he would come, I am very exciting to expect the match between us.

    So exciting I was, I came to the court one and a half hour earlier than the time we made. Luckily I find some good tennis player and played for a while. After we finally finish the double match the match that hand been expected for hours started.

    We didn’t spent much time before we start the first serve. I remember clearly that after a series of attack I won the first point. Both of us were completely focus on the game. Wonderful shoot was frequently hit by us. But the deadly shoot always came from me at the first five games. And after five games I was 5-0 advantage. But none of the five games was easily won. With huge advantage, I didn’t think that I’m going to get the first set, because it took me so much effort to win the five games. So the chance was seized by Dake. He run everywhere I hit, and never give up a chance to save the point. I began to felt tired and the fault I made began to rise. But I decided to end the set at the tenth game. After a series of heavy and risky shoot. I got a set point. But after he amazingly saved four set point I lose this game. After that the situation became dangerous. But I am the kind of person who can show all his potential when face with dangerous. So I use up all of my power at the following game and hold the third game point and win the set eventually. How exciting I was at that time, I shout out my feeling out of control.

    During the first set a lot of deadly shoot came from my forehand. They were heavy and accurate. That’s my common way to end a point. But what I did best I think is the volley. I never won so many point through that way. I’ve practiced it for a quite long time, this time it became practical to use, and I hope it can be common used in the future. The backhand shoot also has a big progress. It worked stably and hit some sharp angle. And the heavy top spin really helped me a lot. I think the progress I made in backhand is due to the training of my muscle, it helped me to have more control of the ball. Besides all these progress in my skill, the most important reason I won this set is that I never give up a point. I kept my mind and eyes focus on the ball all the time and never stop moving my feet to the most comfortable position. That is the reason I can perform so well this set.

    After the set Dake give me an advice, he told me to move forward your racket with the ball longer if your have little time. Don’t turn it down so quickly, that will cause to much friction but little speed. And the ball will hit the net. I thought it’s right, I hit a couple of ball down to the net when reserving during the set. I always hit with rolling my racket quickly. The rolling of the racket help me gain the control of the ball and added a lot of top spin on it. But if the time is limit, doing that will reduce the power of the shoot.

    A while later, we were both full of energy and decided to have another set. The shoot in the second set also have a good quality. He had 2 games advantage for some time but then I go forward to the net. My volley helped me when more points this set and some of them are really amazing. In the ninth game he have a great chance to win when he is 40-0 advantage and have 3 set point. Then I breakout as usual save 3 set point and win the game. It is already very dark when out score is 5-5 so we decided to play to tie break immediately. He has the advantage all the time but in the end I catch up and win the match finally. It’s really unbelievable to win him twice a day, how wonderful.
