ubuntu安装verilog

1.安装verilog
sudo apt-get install verilog

2.安装gtkwave
sudo apt-get install gtkwave

3.安装dinotrace(和gtkwave一样，都是查看VCD文件的工具)
下载软件包：
wget http://www.veripool.org/ftp/dinotrace-9.4a.tgz

安装依赖
sudo apt-get install lesstif2
sudo apt-get install lesstif2-dev

设置 X11 Display
export DISPLAY=:0
xhost local:用户名

进入到解压后的目录
./configure
make
make install

verilog程序执行流程

a.iverilog 'compile' the source verilog program and test bench program (-o to define the output, a.out as default)

b.use vvp to excute the generated file( a.out ), while values defined in test bench will be stored in vcd file( $dumpfile("file.vcd") ).

c.excute gtkwave or dinotrace to view the vcd file.
