英语考研——目的状语从句

引导目的状语从句的连词:

(1)so that,in order that.
和因果状语从句不同，因果状语从句中so that表示所以，目的状语从句中表示为了，以便。
例句：He draw a picture of that village for her in order that she could find his house easily.他画了一张那个村子的图片给她，为了她能很容易找到她的家。
in order to 与in order that 的区分：

in order to	in order that
表示为了	表示为了
后加动词原型	后接句子

（2）lest；for fear that.
都表示以免，以防的意思。
A so that B:做A为了让B发生
A lest B :做A为了不让B发生
例句：He does not dare to leave the house for fear that some one should recognize him.他不敢离开那个房间以免有些人会把他认出来。
