Cocos Developer Salon Successfully Held in Guangzhou, China

In the afternoon of June 14th, the Cocos team held a Cocos Developer Salon in Guangzhou, China. Nearly 500 individuals came to the event, breaking all past records! Besides developers in Guangzhou, a handful of X-men from nearby cities such as Shenzhen and Zhuhai, rushed into the long line waiting for the Salon.

6月14日下午,cocos团队在中国广州举行了一场cocos开发者沙龙。大约500名个人参与这次活动,打破了过去所有记录!除了广州开发者外,一些热爱技术的人士来自附近的城市,例如深圳河珠海,冲如此次排队等待沙龙活动。

During the Salon, Zhe Wang, the founder of Cocos2d-x, presented a systematic and informative speech on Cocos Engine Family and the complete workflow of Cocos.

He also shared a few awesome third-party tools: GAF Converter by GAF Media, video sprite by Criware in Japan, Live2D for 2D mesh animation, as well as the integration of Cocos2d-x and Google LiquidFun Physics Engine.
AnySDK(www.anysdk.com) is surely another big highlight. With its help, developers would be able to shorten channel integration work from six months to one or two weeks, saving enormous time and energy。

Zhang Xiaolong: Mac version would be out soon
Zhang Xiaolong, founder of CocoStudio, announced the soon coming release of CocoStudio 1.5 and CocoStudio for Mac 1.0 Alpha. Currently, CocoStudio has been recognized by a number of well-known companies, both in China and overseas. It has also become part of the Cocos University Curriculum. At the Salon, Zhang shared the awesome new features such as multi-resolution resource adaption.

Huabin Ling: the Minimalism of JS 3.0

Ling, core member of the Cocos2d-JS team, demonstrated the original motivation and vision for the future to the audience.
He as well as explained the philosophy of minimalism of Cocos2d-JS, expressed by the simple as possible workflow, APIs and so on.

Ling expressed that Cocos2d-JS aims at bringing the simplest way to develop games so that developers can pay least attention to technical issues and focus on games.

This time the Cocos2d-x Salon in Guangzhou almost turned into a Developer Conference, thanks to our passionate X-men. To express our gratefulness, the Cocos team offered a handful of special Cocos gifts, as well as two iPad mini2s. The Cocos team will be holding events more frequently to connect with our developers worldwide.
