Regular steps to install Ubuntu

For 2011, our projection works environment will all turn into Linux, and there i give some regular steps to install Ubuntu for newer, and this all reference 'http://laymantech.blogbus.com/index_7.html ' which is my friend. and also 'http://jewelseeker.blog.163.com/blog/static/5802709320107192550247/'

Here my Ubuntu is LTS 10.04, I hope it will give your  help, if some of you is similar to me.

1, Change and update software resource ( 替換更新軟件源)

2, install Chinese Lagrange support (安裝中文語言支持)

(1) install languages

system -administration-Lagrange support-install/remove languages   ...........install ''Simple Chinese''

(2) install scim

$ sudo apt-get install scim
$ sudo apt-get install scim-chinese

system -administration-Lagrange support -keyboard input method system /chose scim

'ctrl+space' open scim.

 

3,install program support and library
$ sudo apt-get install build-essential
## 該軟件包包括了gcc和make等工具，對C/C++程序員是必需的，而有時候編譯源碼時也是需要的；對於庫(lib)的看法也是一樣

4 install stardict (翻譯軟件星際譯王)

$ sudo apt-get install stardict

5 3D desktop effectuation
First update your display card drive.
then chose 'Extra' at 'Appearance Preferences/Visual Effects'.
and then install compiz (short for compizonfig-settings-manager)
$ sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
Last ,  system/preference/compizconfig-settings-manager

6 install Audacious (类似千千静听的软件)
(1) install Audacious
$ sudo apt-get install audacious
(2)solved for player's problem
右键－－首选项－－外观－－取消Use Bitmap fonts if available前面的对勾；
右键－－首先项－－播放列表－－Fallback charcter encodings:输入“GBK”； 
右击－－首选项－－播放列表：SongDisplay
标题格式：Custom
自定格式：%f
像上面那样就会显示文件名，这样播放列表就不再乱码。

(3) install skin
在http://www.gnome-look.org/网站选择左边的XMMS下载就OK，它的皮肤和XMMS同样共用的。放到/home/Jason/usr/share/audacious/Skins/下就行了

 

7 右键打开终端

$ sudo apt-get install nautilus-open-terminal

重启

8 安装压缩软件
$ sudo apt-get install unrar p7zip-ful cabextract

分别对应rar, 7z，cab格式

9.PDF中文乱码

某些PDF文件中的中文显示出乱码的情况下，可以安装poppler-data来解决：
$ sudo apt-get install poppler-data

 

10 安装chromium-browser（就是Google Chrome）

$ sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

 

11.安装qq for linux

到http://im.qq.com/qq/linux/download.shtml下载deb包安装

Qq经常崩溃解决 :打开文件/usr/bin/qq，也就是在终端执行命令：sudo gedit /usr/bin/qq,然后添加一句：export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true，最后/usr/bin/qq的文件内容为：

#!/bin/sh export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true cd /usr/share/tencent/qq/ ./qq

保存后重新登录QQ就可以了，当然WebQQ也是个很好的解决方案。

 

12.Webqq桌面化

13.安装cairo -dock（类苹果工具栏）

sudo apt-get install cairo-dock

安装完之后在终端中输入命令：

可自行配置软件选项

14 install Java
