Appium problems for IOS real devices

Below are some problems I encounter when I work on appium parallel test on multiple real devices. I solved some of them, but still have no idea of others.

Problem 1:
Error console: Can not initialize ideviceinstaller; make sure it’s installed and works on your system
Solution:
When I use ideviceinstaller on terminal, I find it works fine. So it’s not because ideviceinstaller has not been installed. It’s because I use Eclipse and it doesn’t use user profile to initial the path for command execution. When I get the runtime and print the path environment, it doesn’t contain /usr/local/bin and /usr/bin. So I add path variable to environment for the test runner and solve the problem.

Problem 2:
Error console: instruments crash on startup… lock_down error message…
Solution:
I don’t remember all the console. But I run command: sudo chmod -R 777 /var/db/lockdown/. It works. I still do not find out why. Someone say it’s because iTunes lock this folder so your program could not modify on it but do not know how to prove that.

Problem 3:
Error console: unknow server-side error: abnormal instrument termination
Solution:
not a clue yet.
