Before starting the course, we have a free talk on interracial marriage. The teacher asked for our oppnion for it, and he asked us whether we can accept it, and which is the last one we can accept.
Firstly, haha, I really think I am not racialist. But it is really difficult for me to accept interracial marriage, maybe I can accept a china girl to marry a white man, but difficult for me to see a marriage to a man from india, arabia world, or from ariaca. And if there must be an interracial marriage, I would like to see a china man to marry a white woman. Personally, I donnot want to see any marriage between our chinese and black peoples.
Some people said why you do not want to see such marriage, maybe for us, our man to marry other girl means we "get", and our girl marrying with other man means we "lose". :-)
Also, there should many difficulty for an interracial marriage, since they generally have different culture, different background, different custom. There will be a gap between the interricial couple. Sometimes, something seems natural for one person but seems to be unbelievable for the other. So, kinds of misunderstanding will araise, the couple should have good communication skills so that to kill those misunderstanding as quick as possible. More than that, it seems in china and in west worlds, there all have the saying that "to marry somebody, to marry her/his family", sometime it is easy to clear misunderstanding between the couple, but is very difficult to remove it when it happens between one and his/her in-laws. The couple will not be happy if their marriage is not blessed by parents, therefore it is very importang for everybody to do much effort on it. Anyway, I know there are successful cases, but I really think everybody cherishs the feeling and the relationship. For normal marriage, maybe 60% people finally exist to their life end, but for interracial marriage, I guess the percentage should be less more.
Actually, the same situlation happens to other marriage like marriages between peopel from city and peopel from rural areas.
