In the autumn of 2024, a touch of coolness quietly descends. In this season intertwined with harvest and sowing, I personally planted a patch of cabbages.
 
I remember when the cabbage sprouts just emerged from the soil. Those tiny tender green sprout tips were like new hopes timidly poking out of the ground. They are so fragile yet full of vitality. Looking at these just-emerged cabbage sprouts, my heart is filled with joy and expectation.
 
As time passes, the cabbage sprouts gradually grow into seedlings. They stretch out their tender green leaves, as if showing their vitality to the world. During the seedling stage, watering becomes an extremely crucial task. Since the vegetable plot is located in a relatively remote place and there is no convenient water source, I can only carry water or pull water to water the vegetables.
 
Every morning, I pick up the water bucket and head towards the distant water source. Along the way, feeling the autumn breeze brushing against my face, but in my heart, I am only thinking about that patch of cabbage field that needs water nourishment. After reaching the water source, I carefully fill the bucket and then carry it back to the vegetable field step by step. Every drop of water that falls on the ground seems to be a care for the cabbages. Sometimes, I also pull water with a trolley. Although it is a bit easier than carrying water, it still requires a lot of effort.
 
When the water is slowly poured on the cabbage seedlings, they seem to be sucking happily. Looking at them growing healthily, all the fatigue vanishes. In addition to watering, spraying pesticides on cabbages is also an essential step. To prevent the invasion of pests and diseases, I carefully mix pesticides according to the instructions and then spray them carefully on the cabbage leaves. This process requires extra caution, as it is necessary to ensure the pesticide effect without harming the cabbages.
 
As days pass by, the cabbages grow stronger and stronger under my careful care. Those tender green leaves seem to be the most beautiful scenery in autumn. Whenever I see this cabbage field, the scenes of carrying water, pulling water, watering the vegetables, and spraying pesticides are vivid in my mind. They are not only memories of labor but also my expectation for a bountiful harvest.
 
I believe that in this autumn, this cabbage field will definitely bring me a full harvest. And those days of hard work will also become the most precious memories in my heart.
