ClearCase No such device or address

1）第一个问题，如何在clearcase里面查找一个文件，即使只知道文件名称。

使用如下命令：

find . -type f -name blm.c -print

2）读取cc文件的时候遇到No such device or address错误，参考IBM的文档查看

Problem(Abstract)

Attempts to open a text file element in IBM Rational ClearCase result in "No such device or address".
Symptom

After restoring or moving a Rational ClearCase VOB storage, you get errors when you try to open a text file element.

Example


> tail installApp.py

installApp.py: No such device or address


The vob_log shows the following kind of errors.

Note: The cleartext pool does exist, and running checkvob returns all the expected output without any errors.
Cause

The Rational ClearCase processes were running during the move operation, because Rational ClearCase was not stopped before the move.

Before moving or restoring a VOB, it is important to stop Rational ClearCase on the host. For more information, refer to Moving VOBs section in IBM Rational ClearCase Administrator's Guide.

Resolving the problem

   1. Unmount the VOB.

      cleartool umount <vob-tag>



   2. Lock the VOB, if possible.

      cleartool lock vob:<vob-tag>



   3. Stop and start Rational ClearCase or stop the vob_server process related to this VOB. See

      1148639: About albd_list


   4. Mount the VOB.

      cleartool mount vob:<vob-tag>



   5. Unlock the VOB, if necessary.

      cleartool unlock vob:<vob-tag>
