Difficulty: when the tech is too diff to accomplish, call and talk about other ways to accomplish or make the design/requirement easier to do. You have the right, if really no other way or you have good method to reduce the working time.
Time: when they change the requirement/design, or have difficulty, you must raise the problem ASAP. And require for more time to accomplish.
Others: Outsourcing is that do what they want you do, and accomplish it on time. That will be OK. Or, whether the job well done, you delay. All problem is coursed by you. Such as schedule, other people's job, and so on. Whethe the project is OK, that's not your problem and there is no business to you. That's not your job and don't care on it. Just do your job well.
Such as: design, requirement, style. All is not determined by you. Maybe they'll feel boring.
