谷歌GE推智能电网设备：通过互联网遥控家电

想象一下只要将一个小芯片插入到你家的电网里，就可以实现在移动设备或电脑上实时监控到你家电量的使用情况，并且可以用任意连接互联网的设备来控制家电的开关，将是一件多么酷的事情，尤其在电费飞涨的当下。

GE、Google和其它一些公司组建的USNAP组织（Utility Smart Network Access Port - 公用事业智能网络接入端口），目的是创造出一种家用的电表到设备监控标准，也就是可以让任何设备都能加入到智能电网里来。这家已经成立3年的组织最近刚刚发布了2.0标准细节，通过一个尽有40克，55毫米大小的10针接口就可以从智能电网获取数据，而且它是完全可编程的，支持多种标准（包括WiFi、ZigBee、Z-Wave、RDS和FlexNetWiFi）。任何公司只要给USNAP交一笔5千美元的年费，即可获得生产这种设备的授权。http://www.guao.hk/tag/usnap

The U-SNAP Alliance is an open industry association developing an industry specification for connecting energy aware consumer products with smart meters. The Alliance will create and publish a specification, establish testing and certification procedures for product conformance and educate consumers, utilities and vendors on the benefits of the standard. 提出背景：各种不同的通信协议给水电气厂、供应商和用户等都带了严重的兼容问题。

相关信息：USNAP 是 Utility Smart Network Access Port（公用事业智能网络接入端口）的简称

能效作用：简单，有效的解决方法使得在家庭网络中，任何HAN标准（不论现在还是将来）都可以作为网关使用任何供应商的智能仪表。而且不用在仪表中添加其他任何硬件支持。通过给产品提供各种独立不同的一系列接口，使得将智能电网延伸到节能产品成为可能。

框架：使用智能仪表内部已有的AMI（Automated Metering Infrastructure 自动计量设施）通信设备使之成为一个USNAP装备的产品。with a code download。

对供应商的好处：不用因为支持AMI部署中使用的不同协议而制造不同的产品。
对水电气厂的好处：可以选择最适合自动记表目标的智能仪表，只要下载代码即可，以后都不用担心不兼容问题。
对监督机构的好处：AMI的部署更快，而且同时解决了兼容和现场升级的问题。

现状：为了加快标准化工作，一个规范明确的说明书已近完成，用户在今年年初就可以买到兼容的产品。

起源：2007年作为CEC（California Energy Commission  加州能源委员会）考虑到可编程温控器概念（ Programmable Communicating Thermostats (PCTs) ）时提出的24个能源效率方案之一被提出来。当时由于能源公司正在全州推广AMI方案，同时pcts需要使用原始的AMI仪表协议进行通信，于是USNAP就作为一种解决方案提了出来。

The mission of the Utility Smart Network Access Port (USNAP) Alliance is to create a protocol independent serial interface standard that enables any HAN (Home Area Network) standard, present and future, to use any vendor's Smart Meter as a gateway into the home, without adding additional hardware in the Smart Meter. The USNAP Alliance fosters collaboration and education among utilities, AMI suppliers, HAN venders, industry consultants, academics and regulators who seek interoperable, secure and cost effective solutions for extending the Smart Grid to energy aware consumer products.

Purpose
The purpose of the USNAP Alliance is to establish a non-profit mutual benefit (501(c)6) corporation to create a low cost, connector
standard for linking Home Area Network (HAN) devices to Smart Meters

The USNAP specification defines the hardware interface, physical dimensions, data transfer, message contents and protocol specifics for HAN devices. The root of the specification relies on the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) port found on most communication chips as the transport layer.
