I.III Team Vision

Original Intention:
The selection of the "Campus-Specific Second-Hand Sales Platform" project arises from a pressing need to address the challenges within school-based second-hand transactions.  Our original intention is to create a dedicated platform that serves as a reliable and secure marketplace solely within the confines of educational institutions.  This project aims to replace existing, often unreliable, informal school trading groups and tackle issues such as scams and inflated prices that students commonly encounter.

Scope of Realization:
Our intention is to develop a fully functional Campus-Specific Second-Hand Sales Platform that caters exclusively to the school community.  The platform will offer a user-friendly interface that facilitates the buying and selling of second-hand items, textbooks, electronics, and more.  It will incorporate features designed to enhance security, such as verified user profiles and a rating system to build trust among peers.  Additionally, our platform will provide real-time notifications, communication tools, and a secure payment gateway to streamline the transaction process.

Potential Applications:
The realized platform will have a wide range of applications within the academic setting, including but not limited to:

Textbook Exchange: Students can easily buy and sell textbooks, saving money and reducing the environmental impact of printing new books.

Electronics and Gadgets: Users can trade or sell electronics and gadgets, fostering sustainability and enabling students to access affordable technology.

Event Tickets: The platform can facilitate the exchange of tickets for school events, club activities, and sports games, improving access and reducing scalping.

Miscellaneous Items: Users can buy or sell a variety of items, reducing waste and promoting recycling.

Our objective is to create a dedicated, secure, and highly functional platform that brings together the school community, making it easier for students to find and trade second-hand items.  By doing so, we aim to alleviate common issues faced by students when dealing with external marketplaces and informal trading groups.  This platform is envisioned as a tool to enhance the student experience, promote sustainability, and foster a sense of trust and collaboration within the school environment.

In summary, our team's original intention is to develop a comprehensive Campus-Specific Second-Hand Sales Platform, designed to cater specifically to the unique needs of the school community, and to contribute to a more secure, cost-effective, and sustainable campus environment.
