When trying to use \printbibliography in LaTeX document of article without UTF8 support, I encountered the problem that Package inputenc Error: Unicode char \uFFFC but cannot find where the cause is, because \uFFFC is not a printable character. In contrast, if you type in a Chinese character, LaTeX would show you that character in the error and tell you that character is inacceptable, so I tried detecting UTF8 character in the .bib file (just check whether ord(c) < 128 in Python) and found that the following item contains UTF8 code (can’t believe it!)
