The convenience of cell phones has made it possible to talk to others anytime and anywhere, but there is still an art to using the phone properly in a professional setting. Here are some important etiquette you need to know.
手机为人们带来了极大的便利,让人们可以随时随地与他人交谈,但在职业场合正确使用手机仍是一门值得研究的艺术。下面就介绍一些你需要知道的重要手机礼仪。

  1. Announce your name when picking up the phone.
    接电话时自报全名
    When answering your phone, use a proper greeting and announce your full name. Using your first name alone can sound too informal for every professional call and using only your last name can sound too abrupt.
    接电话时,要使用恰当的问候语,并报全名。职业场合中,单用名字听起来太不正式,而单用姓氏听起来又太唐突。
  2. Be aware of your speaking volume.
    注意说话音量
    Some people just don’t know how loud they are, especially when their attention is focused on the person on the other line. You should also be aware of your surroundings because you never know who’s paying attention to your conversation.
    有些人打电话时会不自觉地音量很大,尤其是当他们的注意力集中在电话那头的人身上的时候。还应该注意打电话时周围的环境,因为你永远不知道谁在留意你的通话。
  3. Don’t answer your phone when meeting with others.
    与人会面中不要接电话
    At a meeting or meal, if you answer a call, you’re basically telling the person you’re meeting with that someone else is more deserving of your time than they are. If you are expecting an important phone call during your meeting, then let the person you’re meeting with know ahead of time.
    与人会面或吃饭时接电话基本上就是告诉正在会面的人,电话那头的人比他们更值得你花时间。如果与人会面中途需要等个重要电话,那就提前告诉会面的人。
