How to maintain one's interest without considering career? It is a tough question to answer because most interests need funds to back up. Just until recently I found out the differences among computer majors. Computer science focus on analyzing therefore is more mathematically based. Computer engineering put more attention on hardware. Software engineering, different than those two, teaches people a holistic process to develop a program. I prefer the third one because I am more interested in operating systems. Therefore, I will opt for coop program in software engineering. Moreover, I would also take computer engineering courses if I can. I aim to build a system in ten years and develop it into a commercial product. This goal requires me to understand hardware level code if I want to found it technically.
