It's a new month. In twenty more days I will be in school again. Part of my July is wasted but last ten days are meaningful.
Just finishing grading my ACT test, I found that I did a good job on math and science. Reading and grammar, however, worth some efforts to improve. In terms of the grammar section, I think I can get a score above 33 if I am careful. Many of my mistakes are due to carelessness. There are only less than 2 blanks that I do not understand. The reading section, tragically, is still an obstacle to me. The limited time is a problem. Besides, I cannot ensure every answer I write down is correct. This is devastating to me because I need a high score on reading to get a composite score over 33. It is pretty hard now. Therefore I will need to read a lot of sample articles.
I don't really know how's the science program in Vanderbilt. I like this school pretty much but have little knowledge about it. Many top universities in the United States are prone to liberal arts and science instead of engineering. There are top ones such as MIT, Stanford, Caltech, that are really good at technology. But these schools are incredibly hard to enter. UC Berkeley is much easier but no scholarship is provided to international students. The total fee is pretty high there.
