所谓责任,本意是应尽的义务，份内应做的事。能力即才能和办事的本领。我们这里讲的所谓责任，我个人理解指的是责任心、责任感，一种积极的心态，是我们应该具备的最基本而又是最重要的素质。

    如果把企业比喻成一座大厦，那么每个员工的责任感就是这座大厦的基石。责任心是企业对员工的基本要求，古人把“知耻近乎勇”视为美德，清人王永彬在《围炉夜话》中也说：“人之足传，在有德不在有位；世所相信，在能行不在能言”，也说明做人要有良好的道德约束和责任心。

    工作责任心是每位员工的第一素质。有责任心，我们才能有不断进步的动力，才会有勤奋工作的热情。在我们现实工作中，正是因为有了“责任重于一切”这个信念，漆黑的夜晚，我们的水厂才会亮起一盏盏明亮的灯光，才会有不少的员工为履行自己的职责，奋战在工作岗位上。正是因为有了“责任重于一切”这个信念，才会有不少员工在节假日牺牲休息时间，以他们敬业的精神和认真负责的工作态度，仔细检查设备，及时发现设备隐患，使企业避免安全事故的发生；也正是因为有了“责任重于一切”这个信念，才会有不少员工为了履行职责，以火一般的热情在本职岗位上兢兢业业，舍小家顾大家等等，这都使我们看到了“责任心”的真实体现。

    不可否认，平时的生活和工作中我们也常常听到“这不是我的错”“我不是故意的”之类的话，我们甚至会看到一些人为了推卸责任而抵赖、狡辩，或者为了推卸责任而指责别人。但是人生在世孰能无过，但无论是谁，只要自己勇于承担责任，即使事情没做好，即使工作出了问题，只要他敢于站出来承担责任，勇于改正错误，那么他仍然是一个令人尊敬的人。

我们大多数人都做着平凡的工作，我们要做好自己的工作，就必须勇于承担起自己的工作责任，切实履行职责，做好自己的本职工作，令行禁止，热爱工作，用一丝不苟的态度对待工作，就一定可以在自己平凡的工作上谱写出辉煌的篇章。

在工作中，没有责任心的事例也很多。如果抄表员缺少责任心，就会只顾抄表而不会关注用水设施是否完好；如果装表工缺少责任心，就会只求自己方便随意改变安装要求，而不管今后抄表是否方便；冲洗管道时如果没有责任心，就会将混水供给用户……
