Howto Install and Configure Chinese Input Methods on Ubuntu

  1. InstallChinese language support:

    SystemSettings->Language Support->Install/Remove Languages->selectchinese (simplified) and apply changes;

  2. Addinput methods:

    SystemSettings->Language Support->Keyboard input methodsystem->select ibus

  3. Rightclick on the keyboard icon on the top bar (right corner), and selectPreferences,configure as follow picture:
