1. Transformer的整体架构
可以看出,整个架构根据中线分开,左边是Encoder,右边是Decoder。
2. Encoder和Decoder的直观认识
我们可以在人工智能的很多模型中可以看见人类在现实世界中认知和学习的方式,Transformer也是这样。
设想一个这样的场景。场景:
只有“您”,“有英语文章的A4纸”,“笔”,并且“您”是中英双母语者。任务:
“您”需要把英语转换成中文。
解决方案(步骤):👇
- “您”阅读A4纸上的英文文章,阅读的文章会通过“您”的眼睛,之后抵达大脑。这个过程就映射到了Transformer中的encoder部分。换句话说,“您”阅读的文章的内容会经过大脑的处理,最后理解内容。Transformer中的encoder就是模拟了这样的作用。
- 现在,“您”已经理解了A4纸上的英文是什么意思,“您”需要把理解的意思转换成“中文”,这就是Transformer中的decoder了。
3. 如何获取字的位置信息?(Positional Encoding)
如果您了解CNNs
,LSTMs
等循环神经网络相关的知识,您可以天然呢的了解到,上述的循环神经网络是根据时间序列,也就是说输入进模型的文本是有时间上的前后关系,所以有一个很大的缺点,他们不能并行计算。但是Transformer可以并行计算,也就说Transformer没有时间上的前后关系。所以,需要让Transformer拥有文本之间的前后关系。所以,引入了Positional Encoding
