1      主要变化点

将defects and other problems改成了selected outcomes，将防止再发改成了改善过程性能。

2      细节变化

2.1   Purpose

The purpose is to identify causes of selected outcomes and take action to improve process performance.

1.2版

The purpose is to identify causes of defects and other problems and take action to prevent them from occurring in the future.

从表达上的修改来看，SEI采取了类似OPM中将Improvement和Innovation统一为Improvement的做法，这里将defects and other problems统一称为selected outcomes。这样可以比较好的避免大家纠缠于概念的细节上。

同时将目标从防止再发改为提升过程性能，则更体现了对QPPO的重视，更好的保证了四五级过程域的一体性。防止再发是一个不需要量化目标支持的内容，而改善过程性能则必须是量化的，可视化的。

2.2   SG1 Determine Causes of Selected Outcomes

这个SG首先对Root cause的定义进行了修改。

A root cause is an initiating element in a causal chain which leads to an outcome of interest.

1.2版中

A root cause is a source of a defect such that, if it is removed, the defect is decreased or removed.

 

从中可以看到，整个定义完全进行了推翻重建，新的定义从易懂性上稍差，但从其涵义来看，则具有更好的包容性。

 

1.     SP1.1 Select Outcomes for Analysis

l  在描述中增加了这个活动被触发的条件，即可以是事件触发或定义好的周期性活动。

l  增加了两种选择Outcome的方法Box and whisker plots for attributes和Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)

l  新增加了一个子实践，强调了需要正式地定义分析的Scope，同时使用更结构化的方法来对可能的决策进行判断，如DAR。

 

2.     SP1.2 Analyze Cause

多是一些描述上的调整，没有大的变化。

2.3   SG2 Address Causes of Selected Outcomes

总体变化不大。

1.     SP2.1 Implement Action Proposals

更强调了Action Plan而不只是Proposals，体现了需要对Action加强管理的意思。

2.     SP2.2 Evaluate the Effect of Implemented Actions

将Changes改成了Implemented Actions，但在其中具体的内容还是描述为changes。

将process的过程性能变化扩展到包括sub process。

增加了判断对项目QPPO达成的影响这个子实践

删除了度量项目过程的能力这个子实践。

3.     SP2.3 Record Causal Analysis Data

增加了提交过程改进的Proposal到公司级的子实践。
