There are two types of sleep:

1. non-REM sleep. The abbreviation stands for non-Rapid Eyeball Movement. This type of sleep can be subdivided into four stages of sleep. Among them stage 4 is the deepest sleep which lasts about 40min.

2. REM sleep. This type of sleep occurs in the later half duration of sleep.

Question: are the most efficient way of sleeping is to follow the rules as such:

1. get to stage 4 sleep asap.

2. suppress REM sleep amac (as much as could).
