The purpose of maintaining the issue log is as following:
1. Keep track of the issues that need help from manager team or architecture team that are out of our own control, so that it won’t be lost as the issue number grows
2. By analyzing the issue log, you may get a feel as for whether some tasks or projects will be delayed by some critical issues
3. Keep track of solved issues and their solution, and serve as a knowledge base for repeating issues that on-site team had provided solution before
