When is the competition?
Registration for the Google Code Jam 2006 is open from Monday, August 14, 2006 at 9:00AM EDT (GMT/UTC -4) through Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at 9:00AM EDT (GMT/UTC -4). There is no limit to the number of registrants for the competition, but only the top 1,000 scorers from the Qualification Round will advance to Round 1 of the Code Jam on September 14.
The competitors with the top 500 scores from Round 1 will advance to compete in Round 2.
The competitors with the top 100 scores from Round 2 will be invited to compete for $165,000 in cash and prizes at the onsite Championship Round at the Google Office in New York City, New York, United States.
What can you win?
The top 250 participants in Round 2 will receive a "Google Code Jam 2006" t-shirt. All 100 finalists who compete in the Championship Round will receive prizes as follows:
