5.Digital age have arrived

In less than 30 year’s time the Star Trek holodeck 全息甲板 will be a reality. Direct直接 links between the brain’s大脑的 nervous神经 system and a computer will also create full sensory感觉 virtual虚拟 environments, allowing virtual vacations假期 like those in the film Total Recall《全面回忆》.

According to BT’s futurologist未来学家, Ian Pearson, these are among the developments scheduled for the first few decades数十年 of the new millennium(a period of 1000 years), when supper computers超级计算机 will dramatically极大的 accelerate加速 progress in all areas of life.

biggest developments will be in medicaine出现, including an extended life expectancy and dozens of artificial organs coming into use between now and 2040.
