Today(this year) I'm going to celebrate a special anniversary. 20 years ago, I successfully gave （up）Bob smoking. Yes, that is (on) (the seventh) of October (October 7/the 7th of October) 1992 that I gave up smoking. I （had）started smoking when I was a young boy at that time I thought it was cool.  When I grew up, I was increasingly aware of the danger of smoking to me to my house(health).  I (had) tried several times to give up it,(but i was always unable to do so ).  It's really hard because I've just became addictive (addicted) to it.

Hello. This year I will be celebrating a very special anniversary. In fact, 20 Years ago on the seventh of October 1992, to be precise, I finally managed to stop smoking. I say finally because I had tried several times previously to quit smoking, but I was always unable to do so. I had started smoking cigarettes as a young boy, thinking I was very cool, I was just a young teenager at the time. And very quickly I became addicted to the habit. Because I know how addictive smoking is and how difficult it is to stop smoking once you've started. I was particularly, how can I put it, let's say disturbed recently by an article that I read in the newspaper.
