德国马普所精神病所跨transdiagnostic biomarker investigations方向博士(3年)职位

项目介绍:

The position is within the lab of Prof. Dr. Nikolaos Koutsouleris who leads the Max Planck Fellow Group for Precision Psychiatry (https://www.psych.mpg.de/2575913/precision-psychiatry). A unique opportunity exists for a PhD student to work at the intersection of psychotic and affective disorders with a focus on translational machine learning. They will aim to develop targeted interventions by identifying distinct and shared biomarkers from the molecular to the behavioural measurement scales. To achieve this, they will leverage our newly acquired large-scale databases and will assist with international clinical projects in Munich through collaborations with King’s College London and Yale University. They will use existing statistical methods developed in-house and will collaborate with our team to apply newly developed transparent machine learning techniques. They will also have the opportunity to gain clinical training on ongoing clinical projects.

要求:

  • Honors or masters degree in psychology, neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, or neuroscience

  • Emerging statistical and coding skills with in MATLAB, Python, or R

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with strong interest in psychiatric translation

待遇:

  • Computational infrastructure supplied by the Max Planck Computing & Data Facility

  • The Max Planck Society offers a variety of soft skill and career-oriented courses for postdocs open to the successful applicant

  • Salary is calculated according to the collective agreement for public Service employees (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst - TVöD-Bund)

美国马里兰大学帕克分校计算认知神经科学方向博士生一名

项目说明:

The Computational Cognitive Neuroscience & Psychiatry Lab is planning to recruit a Ph.D. student in the Fall 2020 cycle (to start Fall 2021). Students may enter through either theCNS track in the Department of Psychologyor theProgram in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. The work you do and your status in the lab will not be affected by which track you choose, but these programs have different training requirements outside of the lab, so consider your choice carefully. If you are not sure which track to pursue, contact Dr. Solway (asolway[at]umd.edu). Because the lab works in an interdisciplinary field, no candidate will have all of the skills necessary to complete the type of work we do upon joining the lab. The goal of graduate school is to learn how to do research and fill in these gaps. Nevertheless, some background is obviously necessary in order to succeed. Successful candidates will have experience with some subset of the following:

要求:

  • Programming experiments and performing data analysis in R, Python, Matlab, JavaScript, and/or another programming language. Version control, e.g. with Subversion, Git, or similar.

  • Modern cognitive/experimental and/or mathematical/computational approaches to psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Some exposure to ideas and methods in clinical psychology and psychiatry.

  • Analysis of fMRI and/or EEG data with FSL, SPM, AFNI, EEGLAB, and/or another analysis package.

  • Basic computer science/engineering math: calculus, linear algebra, probability theory, frequentist and Bayesian statistics, time-frequency analysis, basic machine learning techniques.

荷兰鹿特丹大学决策神经科学博士职位

项目说明:

At the Erasmus Center for Neuroeconomics we seek outstanding applicants whose research interests lie at the intersection of psychology, economics, marketing and neuroscience and who are interested in studying the brain mechanisms that underlie judgement and decision-making. Particular interests of our group are the neural underpinnings of persuasive messaging, social influences on choice, the role of affect in decision-making and (dis)honesty. In particular, we focus on linking neural measures obtained from individuals to real market-level choice data. However, candidates have a large say in the precise focus of their project.

要求:

  • Experience with EEG and/or fMRI is required for this position. Applicants who would be interested in applying neural data analysis to study (real-world) choice behaviour are particularly encouraged to apply.

  • Experience or interest in more advanced fMRI methods, such as multi-voxel pattern analysis (MVPA), representational similarity analysis (RSA), classification algorithms, prediction models, or multivariate approaches to EEG data analyses is a definite plus. However, candidates with a less technical focus and a more general interest in how neuroscience can inform decision-making are also encouraged to apply.

联系及截至日期:

Interested candidates can apply through theERIM website. Application deadline January 15, 2021. For more information about this position, please contact Ale Smidts (asmidts@rsm.nl), Maarten Boksem (mboksem@rsm.nl), or Alex Genevsky (genevsky@rsm.nl).

英国MIBTP-伯明翰大学神经科学与行为学方向博士职位

Project1: Cognitive deficits and accelerated brain ageing in older adults at risk for undiagnosed sleep apnea

项目介绍:

The proposed project stems from the hypothesis that undetected obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in older adults leads to accelerated brain and cognitive ageing, and subsequently aims to expand understanding of the mechanisms of OSA-mediated cognitive decline in elderly population.

项目需要:

  • Programming Skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Matlab, R)

  • Advances statistical and machine learning analyses

  • Structural and perfusion/arterial spin labelling MRI

  • Optical imaging methods (NIRS, for non-invasive assessment of blood vessels inside the human brain) and physiological data modelling.

Porject2: The genetics of cognitive ageing: neuromodulators and prefrontal cortex

项目说明:

Neuromodulators including dopamine, noradrenaline, serotonin, and acetylcholine have been implicated in numerous cognitive functions and behaviours. Across the life-span neuromodulators, maintain functional dynamics among large-scale brain networks controlling cognitive performance. Neuromodulators originate from subcortically-located neurons, which have widely distributed cortical projections, densely terminating within the prefrontal cortex (PFC). Recent research suggests that genetic variation, leading to either elevated or decreased levels of neuromodulators in the PFC, have impact on the functional dynamics of the cognitive control networks, and underlie inter-individual variability in numerous cognitive abilities.

项目需要技能:

  • Programming Skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Matlab, R)

  • Advances statistical and machine learning analyses

  • Functional and Structural connectivity analysis (advanced brain imaging analysis methods)

  • Genetic analysis: GWAS, gene-set/pathway analysis, mendelian randomisation
