But that’s a pretty blunt option—most people would be better served using Facebook’s other controls to control who can find your profile.

Go to the Facebook settings screen. To get there, click on the arrow in the top right corner and then click Settings.

And that’s it, you’re done. Your Facebook profile should be a lot harder for people you don’t want to find and, even if they do, unless they’re already friends with a friend of yours, they won’t be able to add you. But if you’re trying to keep your profile hidden from one specific person, you might be better off blocking them.
