From the crash last Friday it truns out that the current propeller protection guard could not handle all indoor flight emergency. So having an improved guard may really help us save the spare parts(especially propellers which are not that expensive but takes a week for shipping)
This is the current guard:
A good starting point of a full-covered guard is an almost-circle bottom guard, based on the sector-shape guard we have above. This guard will protect the propeller from the payload and any other terrain obstacles when landing. I can draw a simple schematic pic as follows:
One step further to the full-covered guard is, we can design another guard plate which resembles the above one but do not have the buckle structure, and attach it to the bottom one we have with columns and screws. Another ugly graph may help explain this idea:
I would assume that it’s possible to use the existing .stp or .stl file to achieve what we want. And don’t worry too much for productivity (refer to 7-6)
