汉译英早操练（四）

        Hello，大家好。今天学英语了没? 没学的同学看过来，今天我们继续学习一段2024年政府工作报告的一段话，非常的热乎哈~

        站好扶稳，出发~

 生态环境质量稳中改善。

 污染防治攻坚战深入开展，主要污染物排放量继续下降，地表水和近岸海域水质持续好转。

 “三北”工程攻坚战全面启动。可再生能源发电装机规模历史性超过火电，全年新增装机超过全球一半。

        今天这段照样是一个小标题+一段解释的形式。今天这段内容，官文是按照中文的顺序直接翻译，没有做特意的合并和拆分。老规矩，从对比当中学知识。

第一句

生态环境质量稳中改善。

 Eco environment quality has been improved

The environment saw steady improvements.

橘色部分是不好的翻译，红色部分是官文。对比后我们发现，

1、小标题需要用过去分词，而不是完成时态。主要还是定位在描述去年的事情，用过去时比较好。

2、官文使用了see这个小词，表示环境“经历”了稳定的改善。

类似的例句非常多：

The company saw an increase in sales during the holiday season.
在节假日期间，公司的销售额有所增长。

The project saw significant progress this quarter.
这个项目在本季度取得了显著的进展。

3、不好的译文没有注意冠词的使用，生态环境前要加冠词 the eco environment。注意官文这里没有使用eco environment,而是直接使用了环境表达，我特意查了词典，environment就有“生态环境”这层含义，所以并没有造成表达缺失，反而更加简洁。

第二句

 污染防治攻坚战深入开展，主要污染物排放量继续下降，地表水和近岸海域水质持续好转。

 Actions of pollution prevention were fully advanced, the volumn of main pollution delussion

was continually declined, and earth-face water and water beneath banch was turn good.

抛开准确表达，单纯修改下这句话的语法错误。你能找到几处问题？这种找茬真带劲儿~

1、拼写错误：volumn->volume delussion->emission earth-face-->surface  

2、搭配错误：actions for sth.表示...的行动

3、排放量：the discharge of sth

4、离岸海域：offshore water 

5、turn和was都是动词 ，俩动词放一块了！

Thanks to further steps to prevent and control pollution, the discharge of major pollutants continued to fall and the quality of surface water and offshore water continued to improve.

从官文中我们至少应该学习到

1、用thanks to 表达因果，并且能梳理出因果关系。这句话中，【 污染防治攻坚战深入开展】是后面内容的原因。有了行动，才有了后面的成绩。

通过例句加深下thanks to表示因果的用法

Thanks to her hard work and dedication, she finally achieved her lifelong dream of becoming a published author.

由于她的辛勤工作和奉献精神，她终于实现了成为一位出版作家的终身梦想。

        我们仔细剖析这个【 污染防治攻坚战深入开展】。官文当中并没有啥攻坚战这么高深的词汇表达。而是使用了小词further steps。 这提醒我们平时看到什么高大上的词儿一定不要抱起来词典开始查，而是要做一层从难到易的转换。

2、持续向好：continue to improve

        你有没有也用了turn good?这种表达不够准确，今天我们就学习下持续向好这个词组：continue to improve.

        成绩持续向好，我们信心满满。

        Our performance continues to improve, boosting our confidence. 

        环境持续改善，生活更美好。

        The environment is getting better and better, making life more wonderful.

 第三、四句

三北”工程攻坚战全面启动。可再生能源发电装机规模历史性超过火电，全年新增装机超过全球一半。

         这所以这两句一起写，是因为我在处理的时候嫌第三句太短，就将第四句的前半句跟第三句一起表达了。为了对比学习，一起写下，也可以分析下句子结构。

The project of "Three North" was fully advanced, scales of renewable biological energy generation capacity were larger in a record than that of fire generation capacity. The increased capacity has more than half of the world.

 1、三北工程： The "Three Norths" project .注意一个区别：the project of "Three Norths" 和 the "Three Norths" project.前者重点在‘工程’ 后者重点在“三北” ，媒体报道都是使用The "Three Norths" project 也就是强调“三北“这种表达。

2、fully advanced 表示的是 “完全推进”、“充分发展”或“全面进展”的意思。用在全面启动这里不合适。

3、把第三句和第四句前半段放一起不是不可以，但是缺少了连词，就造成了语法错误，应该在scales of sth前添加连词and

4、表达历史性不能使用in a record这种表达。record有“最佳记录”的意思，但是没有in a record这种表达。可以说set a record（创下记录），a record-breaking performance(破纪录表现)。

原文说规模超过火电，创下了记录

可以说 surpassing sth., setting a record (表示补充说明)

也可以说 sth. reach a record-breaking level, surpassing sth.(先说创纪录，在说是什么事儿)

虽然官文没有用这个表达，但是我们可以学习下record在表达“最佳成绩”的时候应该怎么使用。

 The shelter belt program in northeast, north, and northwest China entered a

crucial stage. China’s installed renewable energy capacity surpassed its thermal power

capacity for the first time in history, and China accounted for over half of newly installed

renewable energy

        看到官文总有一种恍然大悟的感觉。你看第三句，虽然原文很短，但译文却详细展开了三北项目的具体内容，导致第三句非常饱满。

        1、第三句把三北项目描述成了在东北，华北，西北三个地区的防护带项目。并且把“全面启动”解释成了进入“关键阶段”，这是对原文做了充分的准备后的再次延展。这也提醒我们真正好的译文是对原文的深刻理解和适度伸展。

        既然官文都这么贴心了，我们没有理由不积累表达：三北项目: the "Three Norths" project means the shelter belt program in northeast, north, and northwest China.

       2、可再生能源发电装机规模 renewable energy capacity。如果你记住了这个词组也不要洋洋得意，你有没有看到官文在这个词组前面又加了一个installed(已安装)。真的是细致入微到发丝。

        3、火力发电：thermal power generation、fossil fuel-fired power generation

        4、创历史： for the first time in history

        With this discovery, we are witnessing for the first time in history a breakthrough in this field.
        随着这一发现，我们历史上首次见证了这个领域的突破。

        For the first time in history, we have the technology to achieve this feat.
        历史上首次，我们拥有了实现这一壮举的技术。

        5、【全年新增装机超过全球一半】 这句不知道你是怎么分析他的动词的呢？如果认为超过十动词那么就是【全年新增装机】【超过】【全球一半】

The newly installed capacity throughout the year exceeded half of the global total.

        这样写虽然没错，但是没有突出优势的主题【中国】，虽然原文没有直接写，但是仔细分析也知道在说我国在此的优势。官文就很好的抓住了重点，让China作为主语，让account for 做谓语，无形当中去掉了跟全世界去做对比的语句部分。既能表达优势，还不失风度！

        所以要比较部分去掉，单说中国新增装机占比超过一半这件事儿。

        我认为最后半句应该仔细玩味，背诵下来。

        China accounted for over half of newly installed renewable energy。

        这句话里面的account for 再学习下 

        Exports account for a large part of our country’s economy.

        出口占据了我国经济的很大一部分。

        Renewable energy sources now account for over 30% of global energy consumption.

        可再生能源现在占全球能源消费的30%以上。
