简介

澳大利亚数字地球(DEA)土地覆被系统采用粮食及农业组织土地覆被分类系统分类法第二版(Di Gregorio 和 Jansen,1998 年;2005 年)为澳大利亚提供年度土地覆被分类。

DEA 土地覆被将 30 多年的卫星图像转化为澳大利亚土地、植被和水体随时间变化的证据。

土地覆被是地球表面观察到的物理覆被,包括树木、灌木、草、土壤、裸露的岩石、水体、种植园、农作物和建筑结构。全澳大利亚一致的土地覆被产品有助于了解环境的不同部分是如何变化和相互关联的。记录一段时间的地球观测数据首先可以观察特定时间的土地覆被状况,其次可以通过不同时间的比较观察土地覆被的变化方式。
