Ubuntu 14.04 install ROS Indigo

1. Configure your Ubuntu repositories

---

To enable all Ubuntu software (main universe restricted multiverse) repositories use

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu $(lsb_release -sc) main universe restricted multiverse"

Then update the package list

sudo apt-get update

2. Setup your sources.list

---

sudo sh -c '. /etc/lsb-release && echo "deb http://mirrors.ustc.edu.cn/ros/ubuntu/ $DISTRIB_CODENAME main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ros-latest.list'

设置成国内中科大的源.

3. Set up your keys

---

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://ha.pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key 0xB01FA116

4. Installation

---

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ros-indigo-desktop-full

5. Initialize rosdep

---

sudo rosdep init
rosdep update

6. Environment setup

---

echo "source /opt/ros/indigo/setup.bash" >> ~/.bashrc
source ~/.bashrc

7. Getting rosinstall

---

sudo apt-get install python-rosinstall
