星期三的晚上，我们去了市政厅，这是一年中的最后一天，并且有一大堆人已经聚集在了市政厅的钟下面。20分钟之后这个钟将会敲响12下。15分钟过去了，在距离十二点还有五分钟到时候，这个钟停了。这个大分针不再移动。我们等啊等啊，但是没有事情发生。突然有某个人大喊到“现在已经是12点过两分钟了！这个钟已经停了！"我看着我的手表。这是真的，这个大钟拒绝迎接新年。过了一会，每个人都开始笑起来并且开始歌唱。
