        今天我们继续学习，ok,let's go~

        长江三角洲区域，占有全国人口的6%，提供全国国内生产总值的1/5以上，所以这一区域的发展，必然会对促进中国的经济建设起很大的作用。        

         Yangtze river delta region owns the population of 6 percent in China and contributes 1/5 national GDP. The development of this region can give a great contribution to promote China's economy. 

        一、占有...比例，不要使用own，own动词主要是人，

        takes up表示某物在空间、时间或数量上所占的比例或份额，强调实际占据的情况。

        accounts for 则更多用于解释或说明某种情况或现象的原因、比例或构成，强调对整体或结果的贡献或解释。

        本文用take up 比account for 更加准确，account for 也可以。

        二、缺失冠词，contributes 1/5 of the national GDP

        三、搭配问题：对...有很大作用,make a great contribution to；【促进经济】promote economy -->spur economy

        As the Yangtze River Delta area takes up 6% of China's total population and contributes more than 1/5 of the country's total GDP, its development will certainly play a great role in speeding up China's economic construction.

        参考答案中【促进中国的经济建设】改写成了【加速中国的经济建设】 speed up China's economic construction.

        亚马逊河流域具有世界上有名的复杂生态系统，中国的科学家在2004年7月首次来到该区域，进行科学考察研究。

         The Amazon river has the famous complicated ecological system; Chinese sciences came here for the first time in July 2004 for scientific  study.

        一、单词、表达错误：科学家：scientists; 亚马逊河域： Amazon Basin；世界有名：world-famous

        二、【来该地区】用come here 过于口语化，可以使用come to this area/visit this area

        三、【复杂】不适宜用complicated

        complex多指“物理层面”的复杂感，强调元素之间的相互联系和相互作用。

        complicated则侧重于“心理层面”的复杂感，更强调难以解释或理解。

        四、【有名的复杂生态系统】

        五、简化表达。ecological system ==ecosystem

        The Amazon Basin has a world-famous,complex ecosystem. Chinese scientists, for the first time, came to this region in July, 2004, to make scientific investigation and studies.

        科学考察研究 要做到准确表达，可以使用scientific probes/investigation and studies.

        将前后两部分分隔成两句话，表达更加清晰，因为两者时间的关联性并不强烈。后半句使用了目的状语从句，起到了强调作用。

         在华南，春天和初夏是多雨季节，有许多日子会见到倾盆大雨，或者跟着台风而来的暴雨。

       In sourch China,  there are many rainy days in spring and  early summer. There are many days in heavy rain, or in rainstorm after typhoon.

        一，单复数异常，台风typhoon是可数名词

        二、介词异常，日子会见到倾盆大雨 many days of heavy rain, or of rainstorm

        In south China, spring and early summer are web seasons, with quite a number of days experiencing torrential downpours or rainstorms that accompany typhoons.

        较好翻译当中，用 be web seasons表示多雨季节。torrential downpours表倾盆大雨，台风而来的暴雨用rainstorms that accompany typhoons.不好翻译用after就把暴雨和台风错开了，其实时间都是一致的。

        橡胶原来是南美巴西的产物，在十九世纪下半叶传到别的国家。现在，世界上大部分的橡胶，是生产在赤道南北各10℃的中间地带上。    

        Rubbers are originated from Brazil of South America and were brought to other countries in late 19th. Now, most of rubbers were produced in the areas between 10 °  north and south of the equator.

        一、橡胶 是不可数名词 rubber

        二、【原产自】不需要被动，直接就是originate from sth.

        三、表地点，需要介词in. Brazil in South America

        四、十九世纪末期： the late 19th century

        五、大部分橡胶，形容不可数名词的大部分不要用majority,majority形容可数名词；可以使用the bulk of sth.

        Rubber, originally a product of Bazil in South America, spread to other countries in latter half of the 19th century.  Now the bulk of the world is grown between 10°N and 10°S of the equator.

        好的译文将橡胶的来源放在插入语的位置，重点表达了传入其他国家的事实，比用两个逗号链接这两个看似没啥关系的两部分更加的自然。将【生产】改写成为【生长】，语句更加通顺，自然。

        令人意料不到的是，硅谷既不是一个富有硅的地方，也不是一个山谷。它之所以得名，仅仅是因为它是一个新兴的，以硅为基础的电子工业的中心。

        To our surprise,  Silicon Valley is neither a place rich in Si, nor a valley. Its name is just for an emerging, si-based electronic industy center.

        一、硅元素一般不用缩写，直接写silicon。

        二、拼写错误：industy->industry; si-based-->silicon-based

        三、电子工业：electronic industry和electronics industry区别

        Electronic industry：这个词更偏向于强调具体的电子产品或设备以及相关的技术和产业。它更具体地关联到生产、制造和研发各种电子设备、组件和技术的领域。

        Electronics industry：这个词可能更侧重于整个电子系统的产业，包括电子设备、电子系统、电子技术和电子工程等多个方面。它可能更广泛地涵盖了电子技术的各个方面，从基础的电子元件到复杂的电子系统。

        The company is a leading player in the electronic industry, specializing in the manufacturing of smartphones and tablets.
        该公司在电子工业中处于领先地位，专注于智能手机和平板电脑的制造。

        The electronics industry is constantly evolving, with new products and innovations emerging every year.
        电子行业不断发展，每年都有新产品和创新问世。

        Unexpectedly,Silicon Valley is neither a place abundant in silicon nor a mountain valley. It has gained its name simply because it is a newly developed center of silicon-based electronics industry.

         一、山谷的词汇辨析

        “valley”更多地被用于描述一般性的山谷地形。

        “mountain valley”则更侧重于描述位于复杂山脉中的特定山谷，这些山谷往往具有更加独特和壮观的地理特征。

        二、【它是一个新兴的，以硅为基础的电子工业的中心】遇到这种结构可以用【an emerging, si-based electronic industy center.】，也可以用【a newly developed center of silicon-based electronics industry.】前者较为简洁，适用于标题、简介或需要直接描述某地的场合；后者适合原文具体描述。所以这句自然是红色表达更好。红色的结构将【硅为基础的电子工业】后移成为后置定语，将简单的形容词newly developed做前置定语，注意主干只有【中心】。
