1. 几个概念

先看文档中的相关概念说明：

In CarSim documentation, the word dataset refers to the contents of a single file containing data . Whenever you are viewing a CarSim screen, you are seeing the contents of a single dataset. For example, when viewing the CarSim Run Control screen you are seeing a dataset.

A library is a collection of datasets that share a common screen layout for a common type of data. For example, CarSim Run Control is the name of the library now in view . This library may contain multiple datasets, with each representing a different simulation run. Initially, the library has only the single dataset shown in the figure. But you can add new runs, each with a corresponding dataset.

A category is an additional organizational tool, used to group related datasets within a library . In the case of the baseline dataset shown in figure below, the category is * Quick Start Guide Example and the dataset is named Baseline .

2. 举例说明

根据以上，举例说明如下：

如上图所示，软件左上角显示的几个名称的含义分别如下：

[QuickStart] 是文件夹名，所有数据库database 的存放地方，即打开模型时指定的数据库文件夹，如下：

CarSim Run Control 是 library ，所谓library是一系列的dataset的集合，他们共享同一个当前的界面。CarSim Run Control就是当前界面的的library。常见的Libraries如下图，点击任一个，就跳转到相关的library界面下。

{Quick Start Guide Example} 是category，用于将相关的dataset组织到一个library中，一个category下可能存在多个不同的dataset，他们都属于这一种library。
Baseline 是dataset，比如：

3. 总结

首先，database是最大的概念，是一个数据库，与建模对应的文件夹一致
其次，对于library，一般与软件界面对应，打开一个library就是一个界面，library一般是软件自带创建好的；而library之间会存在上下级关系，不如Vehicle下有suspension、Tire、Brake等，如下所示：

最后，对于dataset，对于每个library都可以创建不同的category（用于分类），每个category内放置不同的相关的dataset。

如上图，解释如下：在[CarSim2019_Data]这个数据库（database）下，Susp：Independent Kinematics的library库中，创建了{C-Class}类型的Datasets，包含C-Class,Hatchback-Front和C-Class,Hatchback-Rear两个dataset。
