英语写作中“目的”aim goal objective的用法

一、Attain reach achieve 可用于表达“达到目的”goal aim objective，在一般写作中常见。例如：

Don’t care whether you attain/achieve/reach your goal (aim objective) at last. Care about your growing up in pursuit of your goal (aim objective). In fact, growing up is always the real goal (aim objective) of our life.（不要在乎你最终是否达到目标，要在乎你在追求目标的过程中的成长。实际上成长永远是我们人生的真正目标。）

二、set a goal，set up a(an) goal/aim/objective 表达“设定目标”，例如：

Einstein set a goal (set up an aim/objective) to create unified field theory, endeavored to attain it for half his life, and failed in the end.（爱因斯坦曾经定下建立统一场论的目标，并为此奋斗了半生，但最后失败了。）

三、在科技论文写作中，更多的用法是：

The goal/aim/objective of their work is to solve ……

aim也常用作动词：
