My name is MaoWei Jiang, and I am very interested in becoming involved in research in computer science area. During my undergraduate and graduate years, I participated in some algorithms optimization (such as low-rank approximation of matrices, random selection and other related theories and code design), in-depth learning theory (information bottleneck, deep mutual information estimation, network preference) and related applications, and conducted open-source work. I like to think and communicate with people, write blogs, think and practice, and have strong hands-on ability and English communication and expression ability. I am very interested in your research field. I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to join your research team and study for PHD under your guidance.
During my master's degree, my research direction was determined as time series analysis according to the project requirements of the research group. At present, based on this direction, I have written an IJCAI2023 (CCF-A) paper and applied for an invention patent. At present, I am studying the deep mutual information estimation network and trying to run the code for optimization. I have made code contributions to Autoformer (NIPS2021) project (third place) and other projects (open source, in my resume). I believe that I have the ability to enjoy and complete the next phase of doctoral research.
