学术写作笔记(6):结果

本文为学习《研究生及博士后英语(2):学术英语写作》的笔记。后续会持续更新,加入一些自己的总结。

结果要素

  1. 用于呈现主要结果/数据
  2. 善用图表
  3. 如果后面还有讨论部分,就只描述数据但不解释它们。如果结果和讨论在同一个“Results and Discussion”部分,先展示结果,在新段落中讨论。
  4. 使用小标题分隔结果。
  5. 将原始数据或中间计算放在正文提及的附录中。

结果结构

结果按逻辑顺序呈现,按重要性排序或与研究问题/假设并列。

  1. 引言:重要成果概述
  2. 正文:详细描述成果
  3. 结论

时态与常用语

1. 介绍图表

(1)时态:用过去时描述结果,用现在时指代图表。例:

  • Table 1 shows that the iPhone sales reached a peak in 2014.
  • Figure 1 shows that old people accounted for only 10% of the population in 1960.

(2)常用单词/短语
